A Niche For Everyone

Not taking advantage of one’s own niche is a popular
problem. Everyone has something they specialize in. It may
not seem like much to you but, it can be tremendous to
others. Being able to tie your shoes can be construed as a
niche. I’ve seen teenagers with fancy styled sneaker or
shoes laced. They tie their sneakers a certain way.
Ridiculous as it may seem, an entire web site can be devoted
to this. Imagine a free booklet of the latest “hip hop
sneaker lacing styles.” Then have a sales link to “major
foot wear for the pop community.” Have it so that you get
all of the commissions through affiliate marketing. Remember
all of this came from something simple like tying shoes or
sneaker lace. Money is made daily from the most simple
things. Do you know of anyone who likes to eat food? How to
eat a particular thing could be a niche, however shallow it
may be. Your niche may be chop sticks or silver spoons. They
are things that can lead to other things, especially in
today’s mad world of fashion.

Anything can be a niche. Your ability to capitalize on what
ever resources available distinguishes the boys from the men
or girls from women. I should take this further to say the
ability spoken of here is the difference between amateur and
professional. You can’t be expected to grasp everything at
once. You can start small and grow your ideas to large
proportions gradually. Macy’s, Kentucky Fried and Famous
Amos, the list goes on and on. The afore mentioned are
people who took something simple and embellished it
gradually into a much larger dimension. They all had a
simple niche that seemed common at first.

As the story goes, Amos gave away cookies that he made to
his friends. The cookies tasted so good that more people
asked for them. He established a business from his niche for
making cookies. Of course I’m suggesting to make cookies,
although your may. This is merely an example of something
small growing big. Think of what you like and write it on
paper. Your niche may be watching television or merely
walking down the street. You have something of value merely
from the fact of being human and able to read this writing.

Niche Marketing Secrets - How to Find Hot Money-Making
Niches on Clickbank

Clickbank’s Marketplace is one of the main places successful
niche marketers go to find hot money-making niches they want
to ‘plunder’. Here are some secrets for finding niches to
‘pillage’ on Clickbank:

1. Look For The Top 5 To 10 Products In Each Category

Go to each category, and look through the top 5 to 10
products in each category. You can be pretty much certain
that topics these information products or software cover are
pretty much in vogue at the moment! In fact, some niches
like weight loss, popular health ailments and bodybuilding
will always be popular, so keep a look out for hot products
that cater to these kind of niches. You can always create
your own original ebook on the same topic and storm the
marketplace!

2. Consider The Gravity Rating

The Gravity rating is a measure of how well the product has
been selling recently. If it is high, that means that the
product is moving like crazy! You can be sure that customers
will snap up similar information products on the same topic,
if there is a unique angle or a new technique that is
presented.

3. Look For Products With Recurring Billing That Are Selling
Well

Keep a look out for membership sites that rank well in the
categories and have a decent Gravity ranking. You could
create your own membership site in the same niche and bring
home the cash! Best of all, since it’s recurring billing,
you can be paid automatically every month on autopilot.

Now go and find and mine those niches!

Quick Tips To Make Your Niche Website Popular

So you want to make your website the most preferred
destination in your niche, drive a flood of targeted traffic
to it, and dominate the field. Yes, you can do it. And all
it takes is one single activity… “Marketing”

There are far too many methods to go into detail, but here
are a few that I have used with great impact - and most are
free, or involve a small cost.

* Posting on Discussion forums

Search for popular discussion forums on your niche.
Register for an account. Watch the discussions for a while
to get a feel for how they go. Pitch in and answer a few
questions, or post some of your own. Mention your website
in your signature.

* Writing articles and submitting them to directories

This is a great method to drive targeted traffic to your
niche website. Many niches have specialized article
directories which accept submissions from writers. Make
sure the article has a link back to your website.

* Running ezine ad exchanges

If you publish an email newsletter, exchange endorsements
and ads with other e-publishers in your niche. Both of you
get added subscribers, and your readers will appreciate
hearing about another source of useful information.

* Publishing your own blog with RSS feeds

A blog is one of the best ways to get more visibility for
your niche website. If you publish a good quality blog, and
update it regularly, very soon you will dominate your niche.

* Publishing your own ezine and building a list

If you haven’t already started building your own in-house
mailing list, start right away. The best prospect to visit
your site again and buy something from you is a visitor who
has already been there - and is interested enough to join
your list.

* Doing link exchanges with other targeted websites

The Internet is powered by links. And by working on
building as many links as you can with other related,
relevant, high-quality niche websites, you will dramatically
increase your website’s reach and appeal.

* Making comments on other blogs

While this method of driving website traffic has been open
to abuse, there is nothing wrong with doing it in an honest,
ethical way. Look for blogs that are on your niche. If you
see a topic which interests you, post a comment or response
on that blog - and include a link back to your niche
website.

* Doing joint ventures with other marketers and webmasters

Done the right way, this can explode your website’s success
literally overnight. Work on cultivating relationships and
friendships with other powerful ‘players’ in your niche -
and they will be glad to help a friend out!

* Press releases

Another powerful way to get wide exposure is by sending out
a press release about anything news-worthy on your niche
website.

All of these methods won’t cost you money, though you’ll
spend time on them.

If you have a marketing budget, you might also consider
doing these:

Pay Per Click advertising, especially on Google Adwords,
MSN AdCenter and Overture Buying paid links on high traffic
sites with high PR Running ezine advertising campaigns
Banner advertising (pay per click model may be best)

And one of the best, low cost ways is to run an affiliate
program and spend effort recruiting hard working affiliates
who will promote your site for you in return for a share of
your profits.

Hopefully all of these tactics will give you some ideas to
get your niche marketing started and grow traffic to your
website. Keep doing it in a sustained, systematic fashion
and soon your site will attract a huge crowd of visitors and
be wildly profitable.
