Niche Marketing - The Truth Behind Niche Marketing
Niche Marketing can be very ugly and hard if you do not know
the proper way to find a niche, marketing in the niche, and
cash in on the niche. You need a plan and that is exactly
what you are about to get, keep reading.
Step #1 - Finding your niche
Finding your niche is the easiest part, but most new
internet marketers forget about what is not online. Pick up
a magazine and start taking notes on all the different
advertisements in it. First, the magazine itself is a niche
and second, do you think that the larger companies would run
their ad in that magazine if they were not making sales from
it?
Absolutely not! Every one of those advertisements is a
product you could promote online to that specific niche.
For example, if you picked up a “Golf Digest”, then you
would be able to find all types of products in that magazine
that you could promote to the Golfing niche. All you have
to do is specialize the niche a bit. Maybe narrow it down
to “Left handed golfers” or “High Handicap Golfers”.
Step #2 - Finding the product for your niche
Now that you have found your niche you need to find products
to promote to it. You can use affiliate sites like
clickbank and commission junction. They have tons of
products that you can promote. You can also go to the sites
that you wrote down from the magazines because most of them
will have a link for an affiliate program that you can join
for free right on their site.
Step #3 - Marketing to your niche
This is the hardest part for most new affiliate marketers
because they are afraid that the method they choose won’t
work or they will do something wrong. This is where you
need to get your wallet out and spend a little bit of money
on an ebook that will guide you through your marketing
process. You can use pay per click, article marketing,
forum marketing, email marketing, build a list, or a number
of other methods to market to your niche.
They all work, but they all need to be done in a specific
way. For example, one thing you cannot do with pay per
click is bid on very broad keywords like “golf”. Yes this
will get you a ton of traffic, but it will not convert into
sales. You have to pinpoint your audience and bid on
keyword phrases that are more targeted to your niche market.
For example, instead of “golf” you could narrow it to “left
handed golfers” or “custom built golf clubs”.
Both of those are much more targeted and will convert into
sales at a much higher percentage than broad keywords. The
key is to choose your marketing method, learn everything you
can about it, and stick with it. They all work, if they are
done properly.
You are now armed with a niche marketing blueprint that you
can use to find a niche, find a product for that niche, and
market to your niche. Start cashing in on any niche you
want with this niche marketing plan.
